Greetings one and all ! I am in a strange mood today! Bear with me please! I am so surprised with the temperatures we have had at night, and several hard frosts, that we still have flowers in bloom up here! I don't think that they generally last this long! Everyone might be tired of photo blogs about flowers now that we have seen them all summer, but these little plants are just so resilient I had to give them some attention! They just deserve it in my opinion! So here we go!
We call these Old Maid's Paintbrush! The smaller ones are in yellow and the bigger ones are in orange! I took this up at my dad's house!
The petals on this thistle remind me of Vaati from Legend of Zelda! He is the character that is Kay's favorite, and she draws him all the time!
Here is a dandelion that has gone to seed! It is very unusal for these to be around in the middle of October!
I don't know what these yellow flowers are, but they appear untouched by the weather! I found these up in the Crossings when I was waiting for Kay to get out of work!
Geraniums are one of my mom's favorite flowering plants! I am typically not a big fan because they don't smell nice at all! Still these are hanging strong and look very pretty! This is probably my favorite photo of October flowers! These are in the Crossings too!
Black Eyed Susans showing some wear and tear! I found them up in Mackinaw City just outside the Harley Store!
I am not sure what these are either! They were also in Mackinaw City! The lavendar flower has some white spots on it from frost, I think! The yellow is perfect! I guess that maybe yellow flowers are more durable in some way!
THERE YOU HAVE IT!
THE FLOWERS OF FALL
If you know the names, or have a favorite let me know what it is! I am so happy to be able to share these with all of you!
