BUZZNET STORY TELLER'S GROUP...ASSIGNMENT #16...TREASURE HUNT!

My greatest treasures are my family members! There are so many of them, I could never choose one over the other! So, I decided to write this assignment about my grandmother who passed away nearly 4 years ago!
She was an AMAZING woman! I am going to tell you about two of them! In the first one I was very small ! I am not sure where my mom was, but I remember that I wanted my grandma! I had a high fever and I felt very sick! She took me up into her lap and sat in her favorite rocking chair! I had my arms tight around her neck and my head on her shoulder! She was singing country and western songs to me, and I started to fall asleep! I could see the living room light fade in and out of my sight! I later woke up all wrapped up in her big soft bed! I always knew she loved and cared about me!
The second memory is from high school ! My parents had to go out of town the weekend of my junior prom! That was my first prom! I was devastated that my mom wouldn't be there to help me get ready and see me off! So, my grandma came over to stay with Andy and I for that weekend! My grandma and I spent that whole day together! She fussed over my dress, and helped me do my hair and make up! We spent that whole afternoon having girl time and chatting away! I wish I could live that day over again just one more time!
Her name was Rosemary and that was very fitting! She was a rare and beautiful wild rose! Each June when they bloom I am reminded of her spirit and I know that she will always be near me! I will always love her, and treasure my memories of time spent with her!
