On Tuesday we had quite a snow storm up here in the Mitten! We got about 10 inches of new blowing snow in a matter of hours! The roads were treacherous! You can see what direction the wind was blowing the snow against this tree creating one of winter's beauties! I complain about being cold or having to wear my swampers, but I can't be dismayed at all when it creates a scene like this!
Today was shopping and errands day in Cheboygan! My dad wasn't able to go with us this week because he had to take his friend to the hospital for a test! We went and had coffee with him this morning any way and we shopped his list for him! That meant that we had to take the little boys into every store! There are a few places where usually my dad sits in the car with James and Gary so that Andy and I can just run in and get the few things we need from those stores! Thankfully Gary was very good for me! He only took his boots and socks off once! (: He doesn't like ANYTHING on his feet, but this is Northern Michigan in January! Those cute little piggy toes must be covered! (:
Trevor had spent a month here with Kay and I while he was on his break from college! Well let me tell you a 23 year old man eats EVERYTHING in sight! (: Our cupboards were bare! I felt like I bought half of Cheboygan! Up here most of us keep a small stock pile of groceries because we never know when we could get snowed in! Well, I am happy to say that our freezer and pantry are once again full !
I am tired, but it was a good day! I can't believe the weekend is about to happen already! Time flies by so quickly sometimes!
