It has been raining here for 3 days straight, and that is really unusual! We don't have any Wellies! We have our swampers for winter, but no rain boots! I don't own a raincoat or even a jacket with a hood! I have a whole new respect for those of you who live in the UK and are wet all the time! I bow to you! (: Then tonight at dusk, the sun shown through and everything was a soft yellow color! This is the 2nd time that has happened here now! I don't know if I should be calling this a sunset or not! I decided to go with dusk! The sun had set, but the sky was still showing light in that direction!
Well things are never easy around here! Last night my brother, Andy, was rushed to the hospital with severe chest pains that radiated down his left arm! I got there in time to stay with the kids and get them all to bed! It was storming like crazy, and the lights were going out and coming back on! Gary and James were scared of the storm! David (he is only 7) laid down with James and got him settled and he fell asleep! Not so much luck with Gary! He finally fell asleep in my arms in the living room at about 11pm! Everytime the thunder would crack he would wake up and cry! I would give him a hug and kiss his cheek and whisper to him, and he would fade back off to sleep! But he wasn't sleeping soundly! We filled the bathtubs with water for flushing toilets! We drew water in pitchers to drink! We got out candles and we waited! Thankfully the power stayed on!
My mom and Jim took Andy to the ER! They did a chest X-ray, blood work, and an EKG and everything was normal! Still he was in pain and his blood pressure was sky high! So, they kept him for 2 hours and repeated all the tests! Again they showed no heart attack! We still don't know what is wrong! They sent him home with an appointment for a nuclear scan, an appointment with his doctor, and instructions to make an appointment with a cardiologist! They said if he got worse, he should come back to the ER! My mom and Jim dropped him off and went home! They didn't even come back in the house! I wanted to stay the night with him, but he wouldn't hear of it!
I came home and slept a few hours and went back early this morning! He still looked horrible and was in the same shape he had been in when I left him at 1:30am! Throughout the day he slept quite a bit and Grace helped me keep the little ones as quiet as possible! Gary still takes a morning and an afternoon nap, so that helped! Each time Andy woke up he looked and felt better! His color is even starting to improve! I got everyone bathed, in their jammies, and into bed! I just got home!
If that isn't enough...Elaine was supposed to fly into Pellston tonight at 9:30pm! She got bumped off her plane in Switzerland! So, she had to spend 24 hours in Switzerland before she can fly home tomorrow! She will fly in at 9:30pm tomorrow night if she doesn't get bumped again! She is traveling on Frequent Flyer Miles, so they can bump her for a paying customer! A day and a night in Switzerland sounds pretty good under any other circumstances! Andy convinced her to go out and look around! See a little bit of yet another country on this trip! She just wants to get home to her family! I completely understand! I really hope she makes it home tomorrow!
Speaking of tomorrow...it is Kay's 19th birthday!!!!! She has some tests going on at the hospital too and then she and I are going to grab some pizza and come home and watch Disney movies! Then next weekend we will celebrate her birthday with the family! I think! It depends on how everything turns out !
Life is never boring up here in the Mitten! (: We have each other and we are strong! We will get through! Goodnight Buzznet Family! I love you all!
