Mighty Mac
This is what the storm looked like on the Mackinaw Brigde, lovingly referred to as the "Mighty Mac" by us locals! This was during daylight! Can you imagine what it was like after dark?!!! My cousin, Jim, drives a semi truck that carries the mail during the night ! This is the bridge that connects the two peninuslas of Michigan! He had to drive north up to Iron Mountain where he got a break and the truck got reloaded! A few hours later he had to turn around and drive back south through the storm! The guy is truly an amazing man!!! I have so much respect for him! He is my mom's roomie, just fyi ! This shot was taken by the Macinaw Bridge Authority from one of their cameras that they use to monitor activity on the bridge! They escorted Jim over the bridge both ways! He called my mom when he was on the bridge (he has hands free phone in the truck) and said at times he couldn't even see his escort ! I posted this so everyone can see what it is like during a winter storm in Northern Michigan, and to give my cousin a pat on the back! (:
